Indianapolis is the third largest city in the Midwest, and 13th largest in the country.  Indianapolis offers midwest hospitality combined with many attractions and cultural activities, as well as being one of the most affordable larger cities in the nation! 

A few of the many attractions the city has to offer are the World Champion Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Indians, Indiana Ice, the Indiana Fever, and of course, Indianapolis is know as the Racing Capital of the World with the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  With the addition of Lucas Oil Stadium, a premier stadium in the nation, Indianapolis will be the host of the 2012 Super Bowl.  Indianapolis also boasts Conseco Fieldhouse, Victory Field, and is the headquarters for the NCAA as well as the National Federation of State High School Associations. Indianapolis is also home to the national offices of USA Gymnastics, USA Diving, US Synchronized Swimming, and USA Track & Field. The city has hosted the Men's and Women's Final Four's several times, and as of 2006 the NCAA is scheduled to hold the Women's Final Four in Indianapolis at least once every five years. Conseco in Indianapolis will host the Big Ten Tournament for five straight years (beginning in 2008) after it won the Big Ten bid over Chicago.

In conjunction with the Indianapolis 500 Festival Celebrations, Indianapolis is home to the largest mini-marathon (and eighth-largest running event) in America. 2007 was the 30th anniversary of the Mini, and run in the first weekend in May every year. This event is part of the 500 Festival, its 50th year running.

Indianapolis is one of the premier locations for large conventions and cultural events in the country.  Just a few of the events that take place in the Circle City include, Indiana Black Expo, the largest ethnic/cultural event in the United States, the Circle City Classic, FFA annual convention, the Indiana State Fair, the Indy Jazz Festival, Heartland Film Festival, Penrod Arts Fair, Broad Ripple Arts Fair, just to name a a few of the cultural events held in the city.  Indianapolis is home to the new billion dollar airport terminal, opened in November, 2008.

Indianapolis is also home to the largest Children's Museum in the Country, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Conner Prairie, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Zoo, and White River State Park, home of the Lawn at White River State Park, one of the top outdoor concert venues in the Nation.  Indianapolis has a rich cultural district including Mass Ave. and Broad Ripple Village. 

Indianapolis is a hub for business, just a few of the Companies based out of Indianapolis include Eli Lilly, Allison Transmission, Rolls Royce and Simon Property Group.

Indianapolis is also known for top medical facilities like Riley Children's Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital, St. Francis, St. Vincent and the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital, the Indiana Heart Hospital, and the Community Health Network. 

Several top state colleges and universities are located in the city, including Butler, The University of Indianapolis, Marian University, IUPUI, and Ivy Tech State College.  Indianapolis is home to the State's largest school system, Indianapolis Public Schools, in addition to the Township schools and private schools as well.

Indianapolis offers a wide variety of places to shop, from the small, unique boutiques and shops in downtown and Broad Ripple, to the Circle Center Mall downtown, the upscale  Fashion Mall, located at  Keystone at the Crossing, and the largest mall in the State, Castleton Square Mall, among many other great locations around the city and surrounding areas too numerous to mention. 

If you are hungry, Indy is sure to have something to please your palette!  From local icons such as Palomino and St. Elmo's Steakhouse to National Chain restaurants and hidden "mom and pop" treasures, Indianapolis has it all!  Indianapolis also has a wide array of nightlife and entertainment throughout the city, from the clubs in Broad Ripple and downtown to smaller, more intimate pubs and eateries throughout the Indy Metro area and surrounding communities.
