Bob is a native Hoosier and 1996 Graduate of Oglethorpe University School of Business in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been developing and selling real estate in the Indianapolis area since 1996.
After graduation, Bob formed a business partnership, now named R. W. McKinney Companies. The partnership started a residential construction and sales company and quickly grew the Indianapolis-based company. With Bob serving as the Managing Member and Co-Owner, the company became a top 25 sales and development firm.
In 2002 Bob began to add commercial development to his repertoire and grew R. W. McKinney Companies, as the sole owner, to handle all real estate operations ranging from construction to development and sales. R. W. McKinney Companies closed out 2004 with sales exceeding the $25 million mark.
Bob's firsthand knowledge of the Indianapolis area (and surrounding cities) allows him to apply his skill set to assisting individuals and businesses relocating to the area. Weichert, Realtors has played a key role in growing the relocation business. Weichert, Realtors McDonald McKinney opened their doors in November of 2006 and immediately formed a relocation team to professionally handle the people moving into and out of the Indianapolis area.
Bob has been and remains a champion in education for children. He is a supporter of Cathedral High School and has provided a scholarship for a deserving student, funded and built an indoor baseball training facility, served as President of the Alumni Association, and as a member of the Endowment Committee. In addition, Bob was closely involved with the start up of a not-for-profit called The Starfish Initiative, which provides private high school opportunities and mentoring to low income youth. He and his wife, Jackie, also host various student functions in their home in Fishers, Indiana.
Bob was named as the recipient of The Governor's Award for Tomorrow's Leader in 2003. His endeavors have also been noted in The Indianapolis Star, The Indianapolis Business Journal, WISH-TV Daybreak and FOX 59 A.M., as well as Indianapolis Monthly magazine.
Bob and Jackie, high school sweethearts, just celebrated their 12-year anniversary. Together they have 4 daughters. Bob is an active and involved member of the Indianapolis community and has dedicated himself and his company to assisting people relocate.
